When a user performs a search for a break (SEARCH) or clicks down through the maps to the lowest level (most detailed) map, this is where you should find the break you are interested in.
Each map has a number of elements:
Directly above each map shows a "breadcrumb" trail giving the location of the map. The user may click on any name in this trail to jump back to that map.

In the example above, the user could jump back up any of the five levels right back to the world map.
Positioned on each map there may be a number of breaks. These may be either
An Individual Break - marked with a pin (
)
or
A Group of Breaks (where there are too many in a small area to mark with individual pins
)
When the user moves their mouse over the pin for an individual break:
the pin will highlight (
) and the name will appear

When the user moves their mouse over the pin for a group of breaks:
the pin will highlight (
) and the list of grouped breaks will appear

To hide the list of grouped breaks, simply move the mouse over the
at the top right corner of the list.
The primary mapping aim of wpsurf is NOT to provide highly detailed world mapping, but rather to enable fast and easy location of Breaks and Images on our wpsurf worldwide maps.
We do however realize that there will be times when users would like a more detailed view of the surrounding area for a specific break or map.
We have provided this via an accurate link at the bottom of every detailed wpsurf map (containing breaks) to the nearest equivalent map on a well established mapping site. This is shown directly below each map:

Below each map containing breaks there is also a list (sorted alphabetically, left to right) of all of the breaks on that map.
Moving the mouse over the name of any of these breaks will cause the pin marking that break to be highlighted (
) on the map above.
Where a map contains a very large number of breaks this list may be quite long and with lower resolution computer monitors it may not be possible to see the map and the breaks at the bottom of the list at the same time.
By clicking on the Shrink / Hide option
at the top of the list of breaks, the list will be split into "pages" so that the breaks will always be visible along with the pins on the map.
