Over time, wpsurf will build a searchable Archive of surfers, surfing styles and surfing locations worldwide.
Purchase of a photograph will provide entry into the Archives.
Clicking on the "Advanced Search" option below the where and when allows a very comprehensive search to be performed.
Every image on wpsurf has ALL FIVE pieces of the following information recorded against it (Break, Date, Price Band, Type of Surfer, Photographer).
Other information MAY be recorded by the photographer OR the surfer who purchases the photograph.
Purchased photos will be retained on the system indefinitely to form a Surfing Archive.
These are the additional search fields that may be used in the Advanced Search.
In addition to the more comprehensive search, the search can be extended to:
- only find images of a specific Surfer Sex
- only find images of a specific Surfer Name
- only find images of a specific Surfer Country
- only find images of a specific Board Type
- only find images of a specific Manoeuvre
- only find images of a specific Wave Size
- only find images of a specific Wave type
Most of these choices provide a list of possible values, any combination of which may be selected. By default, the first option in the list "Any" is selected so that no restriction will be applied to the search unless the selection is changed.
Clicking on the "Hide" option below the where and when reduces the search back to the more comprehensive search.
