Sample Affiliate 'mini-site' HOME PAGE LAYOUT

This is the layout of a sample affiliate 'mini-site' showing how the home page might appear.

This is shown as a stand-alone browser window - but this could be displayed in a frame of an existing web site.

The affiliate log which will be resized and positioned at the top left of the affiliate mini-site may be uploaded from here.

The Tag line should be entered at the same time - this will appear in the top of the mini-site (below "local surf photos")

Once this logo has been approved, neither the logo nor the tag line can be changed without contacting wpsurf.

The affiliate can specify the text to appear here using the "Tag line" text when uploading their

Affiliate Logo.

The affiliates

Home Break is used to decide the map which will be shown on the affiliates 'mini-site'.

This option is only available to approved Photographers and Affiliates.

For a Photographer - The name of this break will show up when anyone views that Photographers profile.

For an Affiliate - This is also used to decide the map which will be shown on the affiliates 'mini-site'.

The home break is set by following the steps below.

Once the affiliate account is approved the home break cannot be changed without contacting wpsurf.

A number of different types of search may be performed on the wpsurf site.

Searches will only find breaks and photos taken by affiliated photographers at the affiliates map level.

Below each map containing breaks there is also a list (sorted alphabetically, left to right) of all of the breaks on that map.

Moving the mouse over the name of any of these breaks will cause the pin marking that break to be highlighted () on the map above.

Where a map contains a very large number of breaks this list may be quite long and with lower resolution computer monitors it may not be possible to see the map and the breaks at the bottom of the list at the same time.

By clicking on the Shrink / Hide option at the top of the list of breaks, the list will be split into "pages" so that the breaks will always be visible along with the pins on the map.

The default currency of the site is £ Pounds Sterling and the purchase price for all images is always given in £ Pounds Sterling but may be displayed (approximately) in five other currencies.

Simply select the desired currency from the selection available at the top right of the screen:

The exact cost (in currencies other than £ Sterling) will not be given until the Checkout option is selected and payment is actually being prepared using Paypal, as they set their own currency exchange rates.

The default language of the site is English but, as the site content matures and dependant on demand, the intention is to translate the site into four other other languages.
